I was searching for a counselor to help me through a difficult family issue. My mom has Alzheimer's and my siblings and i are in a dispute who should be her caretaker. I found Andrew Tidrick by doing a search and made an appointment. my first session with Andrew was a huge step for me. i had been in counseling before and had not stuck with it because it was never really helpful. With Andrew it was different. he put me at ease and listened and gave me more help in the year plus that i was with him than any other counselor. he is so easy to talk to and his insight was amazing. i came away from every session with things to think about and ways to change things in my life for the better. somehow with his help i became accountable for things and began changing small and then bigger things to improve myself. When i started to do something i would think about what Andrew would say to me or what would he think. he changed my outlook of life and how i dealt with different situations. my weekly sessions were like a life line for me and i continued to go even when i just didn't feel like it, but i was always grateful i did go. Andrew literally saved my life one night by calling EMS when i took an overdose of my medication. I can never repay him for all that he has done for me. he helped me to be strong and to think about things before i act. before i met andrew i was fearful about group therapy. he changed that. he recommended it and i was skeptical at first but i began going and found that group therapy was amazingly safe and i looked forward to my sessions. i developed bonds with the other group members as well as with andrew and being able to share my thoughts and feelings with others without judgement or fear of being ridiculed was priceless. i was extremely sad when andrew moved. i knew it was best for him but he helped me so much to get strong and secure with myself and i will never forget him.
